Mountain Mobile Veterinary Hospital offers advanced surgical care in our mobile hospital at your home. Dr. Felz has extensive surgical experience and offers a wide variety of surgical services including both soft tissue and orthopedic procedures.

  • Soft-tissue surgery—spay, neuter, stomach and intestinal surgery, urinary tract surgery, surgery of the liver and spleen, c-sections, removal of masses and tumors, and reconstructive surgery of wounds and lacerations.
  • Orthopedic surgery —Dr. Felz treats fractures, ligament injuries, and performs amputations. He also treats chronic conditions such as osteoarthritis, hip and elbow dysplasia, and neurologic conditions.
  • Opthalmic (eye) surgery—Dr. Felz performs a variety of surgeries related to the eyes including correction of congenital conformation problems, corneal issues, trauma, tumors, and enucleations.
  • Oral surgery —Dr. Felz performs extensive oral surgery for a variety of problems from dental disease to oral cancer.

What to Expect

At Mountain Mobile, we make sure your pet is ready for surgery with a complete physical exam plus pre-operative bloodwork. Dr. Felz is the only veterinarian in Montana with residency training in anesthesia and pain management. He will create a detailed and tailored anesthetic plan to suit your pets needs. Each patient will be monitored with the latest and most advanced equipment including pulse ox, ET CO2, HR, RR, EKG, blood pressure, and body temp. The level of detail, attention, and expertise provided by Dr. Felz ensures the safest anesthetic procedure possible. After surgery your pet will be recovered under the continuous observation of Dr. Felz personally. When your pet is ready for discharge, Dr. Felz will provide you with a pain management plan specifically for your pet and provide you with detailed instructions for post-op care.
